Software Architect for Defence Mobile Product (Defence)

What you will do

• Design and evolve distributed-system and network-communication patterns, including APIs, protocols, and integration points.
• Guide development teams in implementing features that meet product and system requirements.
• Ensure releases meet security, scalability, performance, and maintainability requirements.
• Drive improvements to development practices and code quality.
• Design end-to-end solutions across product verticals and coordinate coherent architecture across multiple teams.
• Align technical product direction with business owners to support current needs and future scalability.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience as a Software Architect.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field is preferred.
• Experience developing and maintaining products, applying software architecture principles and patterns to frontend and backend solutions.
• Experience with modern object-oriented languages, frontend technologies such as React or Angular, SOLID principles, clean code, design patterns, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Strong knowledge of network communication, protocols, routing, and resilience in degraded networks.
• Clear criminal record and seven years of residence in a NATO and/or EU country are required for security-classified projects. Strong written and spoken English is also required.
