Software Architect (Defence)

TL;DR

Software Architect (Defence): Designing and evolving distributed systems and network communication patterns for mobile defence products with an accent on resilience, scalability, and battlefield usability. Location: Aarhus, Denmark. Must have lived in a NATO and/or EU country for the past seven years and have a clear criminal record.

What you will do

• Design and evolve distributed system and network communication patterns, including APIs and protocols.
• Collaborate with and guide development teams to ensure features fulfill product and system requirements.
• Ensure new releases meet key software quality attributes such as security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Drive initiatives to improve the team's workflow and ensure high code quality.
• Develop end-to-end solutions across product verticals involving multiple scrum teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
• At least two years of experience as a Software Architect.
• Expertise in core software architecture principles and patterns for both frontend and backend solutions.
• Proficiency in modern object-oriented languages and frontend technologies like React or Angular.
• Strong knowledge of network communication, routing, and resilience in degraded networks.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge within the Defence domain.
