What you will do

• Support the Compliance and MR Officer in ensuring compliance with UAE virtual assets regulations, specifically the VARA regulatory framework.
• Implement and maintain the AML/CFT compliance framework aligned with UAE AML Law and regulatory guidance.
• Coordinate with free zone and federal regulators for inspections, audits, and information requests.
• Oversee day-to-day transaction monitoring alerts and investigate suspicious activity.
• Draft Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit.
• Deliver AML/CFT awareness training to staff and provide guidance on regulatory developments.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in compliance, AML/CFT, or regulatory affairs within the MEASA region.
• Experience with regional regulators such as VARA, CBUAE, SCA, or FSRA.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical skills and an investigative mindset with high attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in blockchain forensics platforms such as Chainalysis or Elliptic.
• Experience with compliance tools and case management systems.
