Sr. Specialist - Finance (Defense/Aerospace)

What you will do

• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and performance reports for business clusters.
• Manage monthly forecasting for R&D OPEX/CAPEX and project portfolios.
• Track financial metrics for R&D projects, including budgets, actuals, and cash flow.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering leads to establish cost allocation rules and project baselines.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, IAS 38, and internal accounting policies.
• Support external and internal audit processes and the group's Delegation of Authority.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally in R&D, defense, aerospace, or manufacturing.
• Experience in project controlling, including project accounting and WBS cost controlling.
• Proficiency in expert-level Excel and Power BI.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA implementation.
• Must be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Nice to have

• CA, CPA, CIMA, or ACCA designation.
• Experience with Grant Accounting and income recognition.
