What you will do

• Develop and maintain MS SQL relational database systems supporting high-volume content ingestion and retrieval.
• Build efficient data pipelines and transformations to support aggregation workflows.
• Optimize database performance, indexing strategies, and query efficiency across multiple environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable database architectures for new features.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across ingestion, storage, and distribution systems.
• Monitor database health and capacity, implementing proactive improvements.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a Database Developer or SQL Developer.
• Strong proficiency in MS SQL, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Experience working with large datasets and high-traffic environments.
• Understanding of data modeling, database schema design, and normalization.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be authorized to work in Bulgaria on a full-time basis without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
• Basic understanding of backend application stacks (Node.js, Python, or Java).
