What you will do

• Develop and maintain Java-based REST/SOAP APIs and SOA web services in a distributed architecture.
• Build Spring Boot applications deployed via Docker and OpenShift on Linux and AWS environments.
• Implement and support messaging and queuing patterns using Kafka.
• Manage relational (Postgres, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization.
• Lead Java migration efforts from JDK 8/11 to JDK 17.
• Construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Maven, GitHub, Jenkins, and Nexus.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience (JDK 11/17).
• 4+ years of Node.js and JavaScript development experience.
• Experience building APIs with REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON data formats.
• Proficiency in XSLT programming for advanced XML transformations.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, OpenShift, and Apache Tomcat.
• Location: Must be based in Mexico City, Mexico

Nice to have

• Direct experience on JDK migration projects (JDK 8/11 → 17).
• Production-level expertise with Kafka streams, consumer groups, and DLQ patterns.
• Cloud depth in AWS including IAM, networking, monitoring, and scaling.
• Experience with SMTP workflow and HTML email template design.
