Salary: $108,000 - $172,800

What you will do

• Triage, debug, and perform root cause analysis for complex issues within Emulex Fibre Channel HBAs.
• Analyze firmware, driver, and OS logs, and capture Fibre Channel protocol bus traces to identify system-level failures.
• Develop high-quality product documentation, white papers, and application notes for customers.
• Coordinate software and firmware release timing and produce comprehensive Release Notes.
• Support customer sites and participate in industry events through occasional international travel.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Irvine, CA
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience (or 6+ years with a Master's Degree).
• Proven experience in system-level debugging, host software (drivers/BIOS), and networking.
• Prior experience in embedded software, driver development, or debug of storage networking (e.g., Fibre Channel).
• Ability to read and interpret board schematics.

Nice to have

• Experience with Fibre Channel (SCSI/FCP), NVMe over Fabrics (NVMe-oF), iSCSI, or RoCE.
• Familiarity with protocol analyzers such as Teledyne LeCroy or Viavi.
• Experience with ARM-based embedded processors and SoC architectures.
• Strong presentation skills for industry plug-fests or technology forums.
