TL;DR

Market Data Business Analyst (Financial Data): Enable and accelerate markets data strategy by developing understanding of market data requirements, onboarding licensed vendor data, and governing distribution with an accent on vendor ecosystems, licensing models, and data cataloguing. Focus on driving data analysis, coordinating delivery across business, vendors, and engineering teams, and translating complex data products into actionable requirements.

What you will do

• Identify and analyze business problems and client requirements driving organizational change.
• Develop business requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet needs.
• Support creation of business cases, feasibility studies, and project progress reports.
• Create operational and process designs to deliver solutions within scope, time, and budget.
• Support change management activities including traceability matrices for implementation.
• Lead team on complex tasks, coach employees, and influence decision-making across functions.

Requirements

• Strong drive to learn market data concepts, data products, and vendor ecosystems (e.g., LSEG, S&P, MSCI)
• Experience in data analysis, project coordination, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to navigate complex data ecosystems, licensing, and translate into engineering requirements.
• Collaboration across internal teams (technology, engineering, business) and external vendors.
• Engage in complex data analysis from multiple sources to solve problems creatively.

Nice to have

• Experience with market data or financial data, vendor licensing, entitlements, or cataloguing.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Snowflake.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality, or management tooling.
