What you will do

• Provide architectural guidance and apply best practices using Java/Kotlin, PHP, Kafka, MySQL
• Plan, prioritize, and deliver technical projects while managing risks and dependencies
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to align engineering with business goals
• Ensure high-quality development, on-time and on-budget delivery
• Handle service monitoring, alerting, and incident mitigation with New Relic and Grafana
• Conduct code reviews to optimize logic and detect bottlenecks
• Coach team in Agile software development best practices

Requirements

• English upper-intermediate (B2)
• 3+ years in a lead position/role
• 4+ years as Java/Kotlin developer
• Experience with MySQL and large data volumes
• Experience in large-scale distributed applications, microservices, and cloud architectures (Google Cloud Platform, Docker)
• Knowledge of architecture patterns, data/API specs, QA, and testing
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Work experience with PHP (7+, Laravel, Symfony, FuelPHP)
• Experience building or operating payment systems, fintech, or transaction-heavy systems
