TL;DR
Customer Program Manager (Automotive): Leading strategically important automotive customer programs from concept through production with an accent on cross-functional delivery, customer engagement, and software, hardware, and systems integration. Focus on managing large international teams, resolving complex risks and escalations, and steering prototype, industrialization, and production ramp-up activities.
Location: Gothenburg, Sweden; on-site work required as needed. Flexible remote work is available, with travel of up to 25%.
Annual gross base salary: SEK 641,250–940,500.

What you will do
- Lead major customer programs of strategic importance across the Greater Europe portfolio.
- Act as the primary management-level customer interface and ensure transparent communication.
- Manage large, cross-functional, multi-location teams across brands, regions, and technical domains.
- Drive program performance across software, hardware, systems integration, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Own change management, risk management, escalations, executive reporting, and resource decisions.
- Steer prototype, industrialization, production ramp-up, RFI/RFQ, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- University degree in engineering or equivalent program management experience.
- At least 10 years of experience managing large-scale, multidisciplinary programs or teams of more than 50 members.
- Proven automotive program leadership with strong technical and commercial orientation.
- Excellent customer-facing communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
- Willingness to work on-site in Gothenburg, Sweden as required and travel up to 25%.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of PMI methodologies, Automotive SPICE, and IATF16949 processes.
- Experience leading multi-brand programs for Volvo Cars or Volvo Trucks Group.
- Expertise in program management tools and lifecycle methodologies.
