Senior Consultant - Data Engineering / Data Architect (Azure): Defining data and analytics architecture strategy and leading the delivery of enterprise-scale data platforms for sustainable infrastructure clients with an accent on scalable cloud-based warehousing and ETL/ELT frameworks. Focus on translating complex business objectives into technical strategies, governing data security and compliance, and providing architectural leadership across multi-phase engagements.

Location: Hybrid schedule required out of a hirify.global office (Preferred locations: Kansas City, Denver, Charlotte, Tampa, Phoenix, Houston)

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of modern, enterprise-scale data platforms and advanced analytics solutions.
• Define target-state data architectures and govern scalable data pipeline architectures and integration frameworks.
• Act as the primary client interface, translating business objectives into technical strategies and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of complex digital consulting engagements, including scope, budget, risk, and financial performance.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for ETL/ELT solutions using SQL, Python, and cloud-native technologies.
• Mentor internal teams and contribute to practice standards and reusable assets.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in data architecture, data engineering, or digital consulting.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for designing and guiding complex data engineering solutions.
• Expert knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and enterprise-scale ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable).
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule out of an existing US office.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in data science or engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure Design / Construction projects.
• Industry certifications such as Azure/AWS Solutions Architect, PMP, SAFe, or GISP.
