Field Application Engineer (ATE)

Field Application Engineer (ATE): Developing and deploying automated test solutions on hirify.global ATE platforms for semiconductor devices with an accent on test program software development and hardware integration. Focus on debugging complex software/hardware interactions and ensuring manufacturing readiness for Digital, RF, and Mixed-Signal devices.

Location: Zapopan, Mexico. Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, Asylee, Refugee, or lawfully admitted under an amnesty program due to ITAR restrictions.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy automated test solutions for Digital, Power Management, SoC, Mixed-Signal, and RF semiconductor devices on ATE platforms.
• Design and maintain test program software utilizing C# and VBA.
• Provide technical guidance and review for load board and probe card schematics and layouts.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between customer account teams and internal engineering and factory teams.
• Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and training to customers regarding tester operation and performance.
• Lead release-to-production activities, including integration with production handlers and Gauge R&R studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in the semiconductor test industry, including IC test development and ATE platforms.
• Proficiency in software development fundamentals using C#, VB/.NET, C/C++, or Java.
• Ability to travel internationally (USA, Europe, Asia) 25% or more of the time.
• Must meet ITAR requirements (US Citizen, Permanent Resident, Asylee, Refugee, or amnesty program).
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with hirify.global UltraFlex or Advantest V93K platforms.
• Experience with functional testing or exposure to system-level test (SLT).
