Technical Project Manager (Azure/BI)

What you will do

• Lead technical project management for BI and Azure Data Platform initiatives, ensuring structured planning and execution.
• Act as a proxy Product Owner, translating business requirements into user stories and prioritized backlogs.
• Coordinate delivery between business stakeholders, self-service BI teams, and central platform engineering.
• Manage dependencies, timelines, and risks across multiple parallel initiatives using Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Oversee incident and operational management to ensure service stability and minimal platform disruption.
• Enforce enterprise governance, security, and compliance standards, including Azure identity and access management.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
• Advanced experience in Technical Project Management within BI, Data, or Cloud environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure Cloud & Data technologies (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, dbt).
• Advanced experience with Microsoft BI & Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Expertise in Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) in enterprise environments.
• English: B2 (Upper-Intermediate) mandatory; Location: Must be based in Slovakia.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or SAFe.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale BI platforms with 10,000+ users.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Objects or other legacy enterprise BI tools.
• Exposure to budget planning, financial governance, and cost control in IT projects.
