Software Engineer II (Embedded C++)

What you will do

• Provide embedded software development support for current and new naval audio products.
• Handle the full software lifecycle: requirements definition, design, coding, testing, and documentation.
• Maintain and update legacy codebases to ensure continued operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Program Management and customer representatives to align technical deliverables.
• Perform hardware/software troubleshooting using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Travel occasionally to offsite government and non-government test facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development using C/C++.
• Experience with Embedded Linux.
• Proficiency with basic test equipment (Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, etc.).
• U.S. nationality and ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) concepts, such as A/D, D/A, and filters.
• RTOS experience.
• IP networking experience.
