Staff SAP Engineer (SAP S/4HANA): Take end-to-end ownership of SAP integration landscape for Finance and Accounting teams in a fast-growing European fintech with an accent on stabilizing post-migration quality and evolving integrations across corporate systems. Focus on framing complex challenges, designing REST/OData APIs and middleware connectors, driving architectural decisions, and ensuring compliance.
Location: Paris / Barcelona / Berlin / Milan / Belgrade. Remote flexibility: work from anywhere (full remote welcome). Occasional on-site in Paris if preferred, but not required.

What you will do
- Frame complex SAP integration challenges, propose solutions, and drive the roadmap based on Finance priorities with high autonomy.
- Own technical relationship with Accounting and Finance teams, translating business needs into architecture.
- Challenge and lead external integrators (PwC, MeltOne, MSG), deciding when to push back, redesign, or bring work in-house.
- Design and evolve integrations including REST/OData APIs, middleware connectors across SAP, Workday, ADP, Google Workspace, and Slack.
- Embrace AI tools like Claude for faster design, cleaner code, and creative problem-solving; help team adopt AI-driven practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years hands-on SAP experience (ideally S/4HANA Public Cloud, ABAP, RAP/CDS) with proven ability to design and build integrations.
- Staff mindset: high autonomy, anticipate problems, drive priorities without guidance.
- Strong stakeholder skills: communicate technical decisions to non-technical Finance teams, push back on integrators.
- AI-driven engineer: actively experiment with AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Joule), challenge outputs, adopt modern practices.
- Collaborative leader: share knowledge, help teammates grow, thrive with autonomy.
