TL;DR

RF Payload Program Manager (Aerospace): Leading the development and delivery of national security space programs and RF payloads with an accent on customer interface and strategic business development. Focus on managing the full program lifecycle from proposal and contract award through integration, launch, and on-orbit operations.

Location: Los Angeles, CA. Must be a U.S. Person (ITAR) and hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Salary: $125,000 - $185,000 + equity

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary customer interface to ensure alignment between mission requirements and technology offerings.
  • Shape new opportunities and architectures by defining program requirements and aligning with strategic objectives.
  • Oversee all program aspects from contract award through integration, test, launch, and on-orbit operations.
  • Lead proposal efforts to ensure technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to assess vehicle readiness, manage technical changes, and mitigate risks.
  • Conduct customer reviews, deliver technical briefings, and negotiate requirements with government stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance required.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, systems engineering, or operations of government programs.
  • Deep understanding of launch vehicles, spacecraft, or other aerospace systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or PhD in an engineering or science discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in program/project management or systems engineering.
  • Experience with spacecraft mission design, development, integration, and test.
  • Proven track record of innovation in process improvement and system architectures.
  • Experience within the US national security community (service member, civil servant, or contractor).
