Location: Abuja, Nigeria with frequent travel to field locations

International humanitarian NGO responding to crises worldwide, operating in Nigeria since 2012 across health, protection, education, economic recovery, and more in multiple states.

What you will do

  • Lead program technical teams, grants, and M&E to deliver high-quality, data-driven programs based on context analysis and theories of change.
  • Contribute to senior management, champion strategic action plan development, review, and implementation.
  • Oversee business development, proposal processes, and grant compliance to secure funding and meet donor requirements.
  • Represent IRC with stakeholders, coordination fora, and support advocacy aligned to country priorities.
  • Embed security, safeguarding, and integrity into program design, delivery, and monitoring.
  • Provide HR support for programs team and ensure cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years international experience, including 2+ years in emergencies/post-conflict/development programs
  • Demonstrated experience in program design, delivery, and proposal development
  • Proven staff management, multitasking, time management, and diplomacy skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, advocacy, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; innovative and collaborative in multicultural teams
  • Fluency in English
