What you will do

• Design and evolve core backend services and platform components for scalability and reliability.
• Develop backend services and user-facing interfaces to support AI workflows including model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Optimize system performance and observability to ensure platform stability at scale.
• Write clean, tested code and contribute to engineering standards via code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to translate complex requirements into production-ready features.
• Mentor other engineers through design discussions and technical collaboration.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and operating production backend systems and APIs.
• Proficiency in Python and backend frameworks such as Flask.
• Experience building full-stack applications using modern frameworks such as Next.js.
• Knowledge of scalable distributed systems and platform architectures.
• Solid understanding of API design, service boundaries, and SQL/NoSQL data systems.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Must be based in the UK

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, generative AI platforms, or model orchestration systems.
• Exposure to model training, fine-tuning, inference, or evaluation pipelines.
• Experience with GPU-intensive workloads or distributed computing systems.
• Experience building developer platforms or internal developer tools.
• Contributions to open-source projects or AI/ML tooling.
