What you will do

• Deliver critical code for complex projects as an Individual Contributor, handling the high-risk portions of AI solutions.
• Lead and mentor teams of Applied AI Engineers in deploying state-of-the-art GenAI applications across various industries.
• Act as the primary technical lead for strategic customers, guiding them from pre-sales through to post-implementation.
• Design and oversee the implementation of complex AI systems, including fine-tuning, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging AI trends and championing best practices for inference and deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers and researchers to integrate customer feedback into the product development cycle.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Abu Dhabi.
• PhD or Master’s degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7-8+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Deep expertise in fine-tuning LLMs, advanced RAG, agentic systems, and scaling NLP applications.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and modern AI frameworks like LangChain or Hugging Face.
• Strong software engineering skills in API design, backend development, and system architecture.

• Contributions to open-source projects in the LLM or AI space.
• Experience in customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect or Technical Product Manager.
