What you will do

• Design and implement LES software for spray combustion and multi-regime reactive flows.
• Develop GPU-accelerated performance-critical kernels using C/C++, MPI, and CUDA/HIP.
• Implement chemical mechanism reduction and acceleration strategies.
• Advance computational geometry kernels underpinning adaptive unstructured mesh generation.
• Develop dynamic load-balancing schemes for complex multiphysics simulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation capabilities into broader engineering workflows.

Requirements

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proven R&D experience developing CFD/LES codes for reactive and/or multiphase flows.
• Strong background in LES combustion modeling, chemical kinetics, and numerical analysis.
• Experience with adaptive mesh refinement and unstructured-grid methods.
• Proficiency in C/C++, MPI, and GPU programming (CUDA/HIP).
• Experience profiling and tuning HPC codes on leadership-class systems.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Fidelity CharLES.
• Experience with Voronoi meshing.
