About the Position: We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of Operations to join our leadership team. As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all business functions. You will play a key role in shaping and executing the company’s strategic direction, managing operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance, particularly in the context of the SFC licences we hold (Types 1, 4, and 9). Responsibilities
• Lead the operational strategy of the firm to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability
while ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
• Manage all aspects of the firm's operations, including trading, compliance, risk management, finance, legal, HR, and client services.
• Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute business strategies,
including expansion plans, market positioning, and client acquisition.
• Develop and implement best practices for operations, risk management, compliance,
internal controls, and third-party relationships.
• Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks, and implement
corrective measures.
• Manage the operational budget and resource allocation, ensuring optimal use of
company resources.
• Oversee technology and infrastructure improvements to ensure the firm remains at
the forefront of industry innovations.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the operational team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
• Report directly to the Managing Director and board of directors on business
performance, strategic initiatives, and key operational metrics.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professional integrity.

Requirements

• Must have the legal right to work in Hong Kong without restrictions or be willing to
relocate.
• Candidates with Type 1, 4, and 9 licences — or the ability to obtain them over time
based on their qualifications and experience — are preferred.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in running operations of a financial services
institution.
• Proven track record in senior operational management within financial services or
wealth management firms, supported by positive references.
• Advanced level of IT literacy and proficiency with relevant systems.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive operational excellence and lead cross-
functional teams.
• Excellent understanding of risk management, compliance, and operational risk
mitigation strategies.
• Hands-on experience in building and rolling out technology solutions from scratch to
streamline operations and improve client experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
effectively.
• Excellent spoken and written English with a high level of literacy; proficiency in
Cantonese/Mandarin and/or Russian is an advantage. View more Job type | Full-time
