What you will do

• Lead the planning and execution of Functional Safety and V&V activities across projects.
• Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA) and define safety requirements.
• Conduct architecture concept trade-off studies and define system, hardware, and software architectures.
• Collaborate with engineering experts to implement safety requirements.
• Perform safety verification activities such as FMEDA and FTA.
• Conduct Functional Safety audits and advise clients on best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in functional safety engineering within automotive, industrial, or similar domains.
• Strong knowledge of EN 13849, ISO 26262, and/or IEC 61508 standards.
• Hands-on experience with safety analysis tools (FMEDA, FTA, HARA).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Fluent English communication and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• TÜV Functional Safety Specialist or Professional certification.
• Experience with systems engineering, MBSE, and real-time embedded systems.
• Knowledge of OT Cybersecurity.
