What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement software applications for target systems using agile methods.
• Build and enhance source code for new and existing applications, focusing on RESTful APIs.
• Acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization.
• Perform system testing and maintenance using automated testing tools.
• Mentor junior engineers by providing guidance on structured code, documentation, and guides.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership in Slovakia and Cat Digital IT in the US.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Solid experience with Java 8 or higher and Spring Boot for RESTful API development.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Technical knowledge of MS Azure Cloud, AWS, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum and API design.
• Must be based in or able to work from Kosice, Slovakia.

Nice to have

• Experience in software integration engineering and maintaining interfaces between platforms.
• Knowledge of software product design and architecture to convert market requirements into technical design.
• Ability to design and execute comprehensive software product testing strategies.
