What you will do

• Build, maintain, and improve core shared services and internal tools for stable user experiences across both brands.
• Design and implement scalable backend systems and architecture enabling core functionality.
• Collaborate across teams to ship new features and share capabilities pragmatically.
• Shape long-term technical direction of core backend services with expertise and outcome focus.
• Contribute across the stack, including occasional frontend work on internal tooling.
• Take ownership, remove blockers, and keep the team focused on priorities.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience building complex, scalable production systems.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language; Go strongly preferred.
• Experience with API design, databases, cloud systems, and integrating third-party/internal APIs.
• Comfort with containerization and DevOps, including Kubernetes.
• Deep care for code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Pragmatic, collaborative mindset thriving in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• German language skills for Germany-specific tax logic.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools like Claude Code.
