What you will do

• Build and maintain data pipelines and processing workflows for geolocation datasets at scale
• Work with analytical and relational databases like ClickHouse and PostgreSQL on schema design, query optimization, and integrations
• Design and develop backend microservices using FastAPI in an event-driven architecture
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams on decisions and shipping reliable production code
• Write clean, testable Python code with a focus on maintainability
• Actively use AI tools in workflows and contribute to building AI agents and multi-agent systems

Requirements

• Strong Python skills with idiomatic, maintainable code
• Data engineering experience with pipelines, transformations, and analytical/relational databases
• Backend development experience with FastAPI or similar Python web services
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, async patterns, message queues like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Code quality focus: writing tests, thoughtful reviews, production-grade practices
• Comfort with ambiguity, iteration, and product mindset taking ownership of outcomes
• Openness to AI-augmented development and interest in AI agents/multi-agent systems

Nice to have

• Experience with ClickHouse or columnar/OLAP databases
• Work with geolocation/spatial data (GeoJSON, H3, PostGIS)
• Orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster
