What you will do

• Own the product roadmap, prioritizing features, writing clear specifications, and coordinating with design and engineering to ship.
• Develop new capabilities (such as components and agents) to expand the platform's utility beyond simple chatbots.
• Establish the product management function, including rituals, artifacts, and communication patterns for a growing team.
• Engage directly with educators and partners to gather feedback, usage data, and insights to inform product decisions.
• Collaborate with ML and engineering teams to de-risk builds by breaking work into meaningful, incremental steps.
• Refine and pressure-test the product strategy based on evidence from users and technical constraints.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience, specifically within early-stage or high-growth environments.
• Proven experience leading the development of AI-powered or technically complex products.
• Ability to work fluently and side-by-side with ML and engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make effective decisions with incomplete information.
• Strong alignment with the mission of education, equity, and social impact.

Nice to have

• Experience in EdTech or familiarity with K-12 and higher education environments.
• Background working on platforms or tools where users create content/apps rather than just consuming it.
• Experience with responsible AI, content moderation, or trust & safety product work.
• Deep familiarity with the current AI/LLM product landscape.
