Senior Fullstack Engineer (AdTech)

TL;DR

Senior Fullstack Engineer (AdTech): Designing and building high-performance, scalable AdTech solutions that power the Retail Media ecosystem with an accent on clean architecture, data performance, and user-centric development. Focus on developing Node.js/TypeScript microservices, React/Next.js frontend applications, and integrating high-throughput data and messaging systems.

Location: Remote from any location in Germany, with regular team and area anchor days requiring office presence in Cologne.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize Node.js/TypeScript-based microservices focusing on performance, modularity, scalability, and architectural decisions for maintainability.
• Build and maintain React applications using Next.js (Pages Router) and Material-UI, implementing advanced form logic with Formik and JSONSchema validation for responsive UIs.
• Integrate and optimize data systems with MongoDB, Redis, Algolia for real-time ad delivery, and BullMQ/RabbitMQ for distributed message queuing and background processing.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Analytics teams on end-to-end Retail Media features, sprint planning, technical reviews, and solution discovery.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, and modern web technologies.
• Deep experience building scalable microservices and frontend applications in cloud-native environments.
• Committed to writing clean, maintainable, efficient code with focus on scalability, testing, and system health.
• Comfortable in Agile/Scrum teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• AI experience, including integration into real systems and shipping features.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AdTech or Retail Media platforms (e.g., Kevel, Google Ad Manager, CitrusAd, TopSort).
