What you will do

• Lead the design and visual style for all costumes to align with the Director's vision and narrative tone.
• Collaborate with Production Designers and Lead Character Designers to ensure cohesive world-building.
• Create multiple costume iterations, from rough passes to final designs for main and crowd characters.
• Provide technical expertise on clothing styles, fabrics, fabrication techniques, and patterns.
• Mentor and oversee Costume Design Assistants, managing assignments and production deadlines.
• Prepare detailed costume packets including pattern cuttings and fabric swatches for downstream CG departments.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working as a visual development artist on animated projects.
• 1+ years of experience in costume design across visual development, theater, or live action.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and strong skills in drawing, anatomy, perspective, and color theory.
• Deep knowledge of garment construction, including pattern making and draping.
• Previous experience leading a team and managing production pipelines.
• Requirement to be, or become, a member in good standing of the Animation Guild (Local 839).
