What you will do

• Design worlds and settings through environment concepts, color scripts, color keys, and lighting studies.
• Collaborate with mentors and teams to visually explore film aspects aligned with story and narrative needs.
• Create characters, mood paintings, and production illustrations.
• Conduct research to inform the visual design and direction of the work.
• Implement feedback and revisions from leadership to ensure the style of the show is consistently achieved.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to relevant production meetings.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Approximately 1 year of experience as a visual development artist, background painter, or prop designer.
• Maximum 2 years of experience in feature animation.
• Available full-time (40hrs/week) for 7 months between June 15, 2026 and January 22, 2027.
• Portfolio demonstrating proficiency in drawing, anatomy, design, perspective, composition, painting, lighting, and color theory.
• Advanced knowledge of Photoshop.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of CG tools such as Blender, Maya, or Zbrush.
