Engineering Team Lead (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Engineering Team Lead (Fullstack): Leading the development of ScriptRunner for Confluence Cloud with an accent on team mentorship, solution design, and continuous delivery. Focus on scaling the engineering culture, managing a full-stack team, and optimizing cloud-native microservices architecture.

Location: Must be GTA-based to accommodate occasional in-person needs in Toronto (Remote-first/Hybrid).

What you will do

• Lead a software development team following agile processes and continuous delivery.
• Mentor, coach, and develop engineers of varying experience levels to increase their impact.
• Collaborate with the Product team to shape the development of ScriptRunner for Confluence Cloud.
• Facilitate solution design, perform peer code reviews, and manage technical debt.
• Handle hiring, onboarding, and objective setting for direct reports.
• Respond to product incidents and assist with support escalations.

Requirements

• Strong software development skills in one backend technology (Java, Groovy, or Python) and one frontend framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Experience collaborating with and coaching junior engineers.
• Proven experience with Agile methodologies and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS or equivalent.
• Understanding of microservices-oriented architecture with extensible REST APIs.
• Must be based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Nice to have

• Experience within the Atlassian Ecosystem.
• Plugin development experience.
• AWS Certification.
• Experience developing applications with serverless architecture.
