What you will do

• Design and implement core features for machine apps, including systems like the Rapid Series Palletizer and Sanding.
• Own systems end-to-end, from initial design and implementation to deployment and ongoing production support.
• Balance delivery speed with long-term maintainability and system reliability in architectural decisions.
• Debug and resolve complex production issues using root cause analysis for long-term fixes.
• Refactor existing codebases to reduce technical debt and increase system performance and testability.
• Mentor other developers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend development experience (Python or similar) and working knowledge of frontend development (React or similar).
• Proven ability to build, ship, and maintain production systems in real-world environments.
• Strong understanding of software design principles and automated testing processes.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and designers.
• Location: Must be based in Montreal, QC, Canada to support the hybrid work model.

• Experience with industrial systems, robotics, or hardware-integrated software.
