What you will do
- Design and implement core features for machine apps, including systems like the Rapid Series Palletizer and Sanding.
- Own systems end-to-end, from initial design and implementation to deployment and ongoing production support.
- Balance delivery speed with long-term maintainability and system reliability in architectural decisions.
- Debug and resolve complex production issues using root cause analysis for long-term fixes.
- Refactor existing codebases to reduce technical debt and increase system performance and testability.
- Mentor other developers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong backend development experience (Python or similar) and working knowledge of frontend development (React or similar).
- Proven ability to build, ship, and maintain production systems in real-world environments.
- Strong understanding of software design principles and automated testing processes.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and designers.
- Location: Must be based in Montreal, QC, Canada to support the hybrid work model.

- Experience with industrial systems, robotics, or hardware-integrated software.
- Experience working on mission-critical or high-reliability systems.
- Experience contributing to system design or architecture at a team level.
