What you will do

• Set the strategic direction for Economic Crime Prevention (ECP) oversight of Digital Assets, aligning with Group risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
• Own and deliver the ECP control framework for digital wallets, tokenized deposits, and stablecoins from design to implementation.
• Partner with engineering, product, and operations to translate economic crime risks into practical technical and operational requirements.
• Define and oversee financial crime risk assessments across the customer and product lifecycle (AML, sanctions, fraud).
• Drive the adoption of blockchain monitoring and detection capabilities for wallet flows and tokenized transactions.
• Lead engagement with Compliance and assurance functions to secure sign-off and evidence of control effectiveness.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in Economic Crime Prevention within complex, high-risk financial services environments.
• Deep expertise in AML, sanctions, and fraud risk assessments and control design.
• Proven experience leading specialist teams and influencing senior stakeholders across product and engineering.
• Ability to translate high-level policy into practical requirements within agile, change-oriented environments.
• Must be based in or able to commute to London, Birmingham, or Edinburgh for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and tokenization.
• Understanding of Commercial and Markets products.
• Experience with payments, settlement, and PSO frameworks.
