What you will do

• Translate business vision and market opportunities into scientific hypotheses to guide development focus.
• Analyze large, complex datasets using statistical and database skills to improve programmatic efficiency.
• Design and implement data-centric solutions, including large-scale segmentation, transformation, and feature generation.
• Develop and optimize algorithms for automated decision-making in programmatic exchange optimization.
• Create and drive implementation of production performance monitoring frameworks and KPIs.
• Collaborate with ML engineers and architects to deploy production-grade data solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in Toronto, Canada (working from the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays).
• 5+ years of experience in applied data science or machine learning environments at internet scale.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in statistical methods, specifically classification, prediction, and time series models.
• Advanced development skills in Python, specifically with pandas, numpy, and SciKit.
• Proven ability to articulate complex technical results to a wide technological audience.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Scala.
• Familiarity with digital marketing, advertising, or analytics.
• Work experience in complex system engineering environments.
