What you will do

• Develop and refine steady-state and transient engine cycle performance models from preliminary concept to production.
• Collect and analyse engine test rig data to calibrate models and identify required station parameter adjustments.
• Validate engine designs against technical requirements for performance and endurance, providing feedback for improvements.
• Optimize performance cycles to balance thrust, fuel consumption, and thermal limits for mission-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with turbomachinery and combustor design teams to ensure aerothermal requirements are met.
• Prepare technical reports and ensure engine designs meet stakeholder requirements and standards such as MIL-STD-810, PTC 22, and ISO2314.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Thermal Power Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in gas turbine engine performance engineering (or PhD + 4 years minimum).
• Experience with 0D engine cycle modelling tools such as GasTurb, NPSS, or TTECTrA.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or Python scripting.
• Hands-on experience in engine or test rig setup, execution, and data acquisition.
• Location: Must be based in Abu Dhabi, AE

• Exposure to 1D/2D simulation methods.
