Salary: €68,850 – €77,000 gross per year

What you will do

• Design and build backend services and APIs for the analytics platform and client-facing products.
• Own and evolve data collection pipelines ingesting millions of daily data points from gaming platforms.
• Improve infrastructure reliability, observability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Make long-term architectural decisions to ensure system scalability.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and pairing.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor) as a core part of the shipping process.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and operating production Python services.
• Deep fluency with Flask (or equivalent) and RESTful API design.
• Expertise in BigQuery and PostgreSQL, specifically regarding storage layout and scan patterns.
• Proven experience designing and running large-scale data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Right to work in The Netherlands.
• Ability to work hybrid from the Amsterdam office (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays).

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployment.
• Knowledge of task queues such as Celery.
• Experience with gaming platform APIs (Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Nintendo, Epic).
• Working with dbt at multi-terabyte scale.
