Accountant (Fintech)

What you will do

• Post and maintain accurate journal entries within the company accounting system.
• Review and monitor the validity and consistency of account balances and journal entries.
• Support month-end reconciliation processes, including bank statements, AR/AP, bank settlements, and card-processed transactions.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare internal reports and collaborate with Finance, Payments, and Treasury teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Experience working with ERP or automated accounting systems.
• Location: Must be based in Sofia, Bulgaria to support the hybrid work model.

Nice to have

• ACCA or equivalent professional qualification (completed or in progress).
• Practical experience with SAP.
