What you will do

• Coordinate congressional reporting requirements across ODA&M and track associated deliverables.
• Analyze House, Senate, and conference versions of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and other relevant bills.
• Assess legislative provisions impacting DoD equities and compare them against submitted language.
• Develop side-by-side analyses of legislative text and provide weekly updates to leadership.
• Draft official correspondence in accordance with DoD Manual for Written Material guidance.
• Administer SharePoint workflows, permissions, and data organization within the Legislative Portal.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, government, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience supporting legislative analysis or policy development within the DoD or OSD.
• Experience reviewing and analyzing the NDAA and Defense Appropriations Act.
• Ability to prepare formal written correspondence according to federal or DoD standards.
• Experience managing content and workflows within SharePoint environments.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Ability to work independently in a high operational tempo environment.
