Product Management, Human Data Platform (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid policy requires staff to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time

Annual salary: $305,000–$385,000 USD

What you will do

• Own product direction and prioritization for human data tooling, including labeling interfaces, infrastructure, data quality, and operational visibility.
• Partner with engineering to scope, prototype, and ship products quickly.
• Study research and training approaches to identify high-leverage tooling investments.
• Turn recurring one-off requests into reusable infrastructure that scales over time.
• Work with crowd workers, data vendors, research teams, and data operations to understand workflows and pain points.
• Define and track KPIs covering project launch speed, end-to-end data quality, and impact on model evaluation scores.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, including launching new products and scaling existing products.
• Experience shipping products while understanding deep technical constraints.
• Experience working directly with research teams, ideally in AI or machine learning.
• Ability to understand complex technical systems and communicate across research, engineering, operations, and vendor teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco or New York City office at least 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience building data collection tools, annotation platforms, or human-in-the-loop pipelines.
• Experience working with internal researchers as users or customers.
• Experience designing intuitive user experiences for complex interfaces or annotation workflows.
• Strong project management, prioritization, and cross-functional communication skills.
