TL;DR

ProdOps Specialist (Embedded/IoT): Act as the primary bridge between Product and DevOps teams for connected devices and firmware-driven products with an accent on operational readiness, incident management, and reliability engineering. Focus on establishing observability for embedded components, managing firmware release processes, and driving cross-team triage for device issues including boot failures and connectivity problems.

What you will do

  • Act as liaison between Product and DevOps teams, translating requirements into operational actions.
  • Manage high-impact incidents using ITSM tools like Jira/ServiceNow, including root cause analysis across cloud, firmware, and hardware.
  • Support firmware and device software releases, ensuring build provenance, signing, and security practices like secure boot.
  • Establish observability for embedded components (logging, metrics, telemetry) and monitor fleet health, performance, and reliability.
  • Coordinate triage and postmortems for device issues, partnering with firmware, hardware, cloud, and manufacturing teams.
  • Communicate operational health to stakeholders and promote DevOps best practices like automation and CI/CD.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proficient English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Hands-on familiarity with embedded systems constraints (hardware, real-time performance, long lifecycles).
  • Experience with embedded Linux/RTOS, observability, incident response, and device security.
  • Proficiency in ITSM tools (Jira, ServiceNow) and DevOps practices.
