What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain observability pipelines (logs, metrics, traces) using OpenTelemetry.
• Build self-service automation and tooling to empower engineering teams to instrument telemetry independently.
• Lead the engineering side of Incident Management, designing playbooks, checklists, and automated response processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define SLO/SLA requirements and influence architectural resiliency.
• Manage monitoring infrastructure and alerting rules using Terraform and GitOps (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions).
• Refine alerting signals to minimize noise and ensure actionable responses, reducing engineer fatigue.

Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience as an SRE or in an observability-focused role.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, including core components and deployment methodologies.
• Understanding of OpenTelemetry, including collectors, instrumentation, and pipeline optimization.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, New Relic, or Datadog.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and GitOps CI/CD solutions.
• Strong scripting abilities in Python, Go, or similar languages.

Nice to have

• Cloud experience, particularly with AWS and ECS-based workloads.
• Experience managing observability pipelines at scale in high-throughput environments.
• Familiarity with Configuration-as-Code tools like Ansible, Chef, or SaltStack.
• Experience with database performance monitoring in large-scale distributed environments.
