What you will do

• Build and maintain predictive LTV, churn (survival/time-to-event), and resurrection models to drive CRM and retention strategies.
• Create lookalike and propensity models for paid channels to optimize CAC vs LTV tradeoffs.
• Develop Next-Best-Action (NBA), ranking models, and embedding-based similarity systems to increase activation and orders.
• Lead segmentation, clustering, and representation learning to create actionable customer cohorts.
• Own the full MLOps lifecycle, including training pipelines, CI/CD, containerized deployment, and drift detection.
• Translate technical modeling work into product recommendations and narratives for Growth and Marketing teams.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of experience in data science or applied ML with a track record of shipping production models.
• Strong foundations in probability, inference, regression, survival analysis, and causal reasoning.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying classification, regression, and ensemble models.
• Proficiency in MLOps tooling: Docker, Airflow, Kubernetes/ECS, and model registries like MLFlow.
• Advanced Python skills with pandas, scikit-learn, and XGBoost/LightGBM.
• Must be based in New York, NY.

Nice to have

• Experience in subscription marketplaces or food-tech.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, BigQuery, or feature stores.
• Experience with causal libraries (EconML) or uplift frameworks.
• Prior work on small-scale recommender systems or NLP personalization.
