What you will do

  • Design and develop scalable backend services using Kotlin and Java.
  • Architect resilient microservices with Micronaut or Spring Boot.
  • Implement workflow automation and orchestration using Temporal.
  • Optimize PostgreSQL and MySQL database interactions for performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build internal app UIs and seamless user experiences.
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive technical innovation within the Kitchen Tech team.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend development experience with Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Proficiency with Micronaut or Spring Boot frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with React and Next.js for internal tool development.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architectures and distributed systems.
  • Expertise in SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and RESTful API design.
  • Must be based in Argentina.

Nice to have

  • Experience with message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Exposure to GraphQL and event-driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Terraform.
  • Previous background in food tech, operations, or marketplace platforms.
