TL;DR

Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure/DevOps): Designing and maintaining secure cloud architecture and infrastructure automation for federal IT modernization with an accent on Terraform IaC and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). Focus on implementing federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP) and optimizing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.

Location: Hybrid: On-site 4 days/week in Washington, D.C. (20036) and 1 day Telework

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including VMs, VNets, Storage, Azure AD, and PaaS services.
• Develop and maintain Terraform templates as the primary tool for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Configure and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host pools and FSLogix profile containers.
• Build and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in GitLab using PowerShell, Bash, YAML, and JSON.
• Implement secure cloud practices and ensure strict compliance with NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP frameworks.
• Analyze system health and enforce SLAs using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance or higher.
• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Washington, D.C. for onsite work 4 days per week.
• 5+ years of total experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, Terraform IaC, and GitLab pipelines.
• 4+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting for systems automation.

Nice to have

• Prior experience supporting DoD or civilian federal agency cloud programs.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or AKS.
• Experience with Azure serverless services such as Functions, Logic Apps, or Event Grid.
• Expertise in FinOps or Azure Cost Management for cloud spend governance.
