Senior Cyber Security Specialist (National Security)

Location: Hybrid in Saint Paul, MN. Must be a US Citizen and hold or be able to obtain an active U.S. national security clearance.

Salary: $73,000 - $101,600 per year

What you will do

• Implement and support cybersecurity standards, including NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) standards.
• Develop system information assurance (IA) documentation to support RMF accreditation via eMASS.
• Perform regular security scans and maintain records using STIGs, ACAS, CWE, CVE, and HBSS.
• Respond to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) to mitigate system vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and government stakeholders to manage security requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• Currently hold an active US security clearance or be eligible to obtain one (requires US Citizenship).
• Experience working within an Agile Scrum software development team.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure practices, including Containerization, Container Orchestration, CI/CD tools, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• Experience as an Information Systems Security Officer/Manager (ISSO / ISSM).
• Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level 3 Certification.
