Senior DevSecOps Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

Senior DevSecOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes): Building platforms and automated delivery pipelines for a secure multi-tenant environment with an accent on infrastructure-as-code, security integration, and Site Reliability Engineering. Focus on hardening systems according to FISMA High controls, implementing Zero-trust principles, and designing scalable asynchronous systems.

Location: Washington, DC. Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain DHS Suitability clearance.

What you will do

• Build platforms and automated delivery pipelines using AWS services, Serverless frameworks, Kubernetes, and microservice design patterns.
• Design and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions to promote services across development, test, and production environments.
• Collaborate within an Agile lifecycle (Kanban, Scrum, SAFe) to gather and refine platform and application requirements.
• Apply DevSecOps and SRE best practices to ensure full security integration and operational visibility.
• Harden and manage the security and accreditation of a multi-tenant development platform.

Requirements

• BS degree with 8+ years of professional experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain DHS Suitability clearance.
• Expertise in CI/CD environments using Jenkins, Gitlab CI, or similar tools, and Git-based version control.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS EKS, AWS Fargate, Helm, and Serverless Framework (Lambda, API Gateway).
• Proficiency in Terraform and working with relational (SQL) and NoSQL datastores.
• Deep knowledge of federal security practices, including OWASP, Zero-trust principles, and FISMA High security controls.

• AWS Certified Developer Associate or Architect Associate.
• AWS DevOps Professional or Architect Professional certification.
