What you will do

• Own architecture, design, and evolution of Kubernetes-based platform on AWS for scalability and operational excellence
• Develop and optimize Kubernetes infrastructure using IaC (CDK), enforcing best practices
• Act as Kubernetes domain expert, providing guidance, design reviews, and reference architectures to teams
• Lead improvements, identify issues proactively, and implement secure, observable environments
• Champion automation, GitOps, and support migrations to new infrastructure
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and cross-team initiatives

Requirements

• Located in Hungary for remote work
• Expertise in Kubernetes cluster architecture, operations, multi-node clusters, performance, scalability, fault tolerance
• Proficiency with service mesh, auto-scaling, resource optimization, rolling upgrades, disaster recovery
• Solid AWS and EKS knowledge
• Experience assessing application readiness and migration strategies
• Automation mindset, observability tools like DataDog, strong problem-solving
• Effective communication with strong written and verbal English proficiency
• Fluency with AI tools and large language models

Nice to have

• General familiarity with AI tools like Claude or AWS Bedrock
• Experience with IaC languages (CDK TypeScript, CloudFormation)
• GitOps practices including ArgoCD
• Multi-cloud experience (Azure nice to have)
