What you will do

• Execute comprehensive end-to-end test plans across diverse Smart TV hardware, focusing on user journeys from app launch to video playback.
• Test UX and focus engine for intuitive D-pad navigation, clear focus states, and smooth transitions without stutter or jank.
• Verify video stream health including 4K/HDR, closed captioning, multi-language audio, and performance under low bandwidth.
• Maintain and run automated regression suites to prevent new features from breaking stability.
• Identify platform-specific bugs, profile network/performance issues, and collaborate with developers on fixes using detailed logs.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings.

Requirements

• 5+ years in QA with heavy focus on OTT/Smart TV applications.
• Deep familiarity with Roku (BrightScript/SceneGraph) preferred.
• Proficiency with debugging tools: Charles Proxy/Fiddler, Chrome DevTools, Roku telnet, ADB.
• Comfortable with automation frameworks like Appium or platform SDKs.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; must be authorized to work in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI tools like Claude, Cursor for productivity.
• Test automation frameworks: LambdaTest, Rainforest QA, Selenium, Kobiton, Perfecto.
