What you will do

• Own and evolve platform APIs and Spring Boot microservices using contract-first design and layered architecture.
• Implement high-performance data access patterns, including caching (Redis, Ehcache) and efficient serialization.
• Integrate core platform services for appointments, patients, messaging, and authentication via RESTful clients.
• Develop and maintain frontend interfaces using Angular or React to ensure a cohesive user experience and team velocity.
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor engineers to drive consistency and quality across the stack.
• Establish system observability through structured logging, metrics, tracing, and automated CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience building Java services in production.
• Expertise in Spring Boot and REST API design.
• Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Experience with messaging and async patterns like ActiveMQ or Kafka.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining design tradeoffs.

Nice to have

• Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT for development.
