TL;DR

SRE Engineer (DevOps/Gamedev): Designing and maintaining a comprehensive monitoring platform and incident management processes for a high-scale mobile MMO with an accent on observability and system reliability. Focus on Prometheus stack optimization, Kubernetes metrics collection, and the implementation of SLI/SLO principles.

Location: Hybrid in Almaty or Belgrade

hirify.global is an independent gaming studio developing "One State", a hardcore mobile MMO on Unity.

What you will do

  • Design, launch, and maintain a monitoring platform across different infrastructure layers, enriching alerts from multiple sources.
  • Build and improve incident management processes, including severity prioritization.
  • Create automated visualization systems and dashboards for system health.
  • Manage infrastructure across bare metal and hybrid environments.

Requirements

  • Deep experience with the Prometheus stack and Prometheus-compatible systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Grafana, including dashboards and alerting.
  • Experience with logging systems such as Loki or similar tools.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes metrics and their collection mechanisms.
  • Strong Linux knowledge, including system metrics, node exporter, and troubleshooting.
  • Practical use of SLI and SLO principles.

Nice to have

  • Experience building monitoring systems from scratch.
