Lead Systems Engineer

TL;DR

Lead Systems Engineer: Oversee, manage, and optimize Edge Network infrastructure with an accent on high availability, performance, security hardening, and automation. Focus on leading engineers, implementing best practices for observability and incident response, and evaluating emerging technologies.

Location: Poland, Serbia, Lithuania, Cyprus, Georgia (hybrid or remote options, depending on role; work from anywhere up to 45 days per year)

What you will do

• Lead design, deployment, and maintenance of edge infrastructure including servers, networking, and supporting systems.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of systems.
• Mentor engineers, provide technical direction, goals, and support.
• Implement automation for provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Establish best practices for systems engineering, observability, and incident response.
• Collaborate with product, R&D, network, security, and support teams; participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Linux/*nix environments.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation: Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and storage.
• Solid experience with agentic coding.
• 6+ years in systems engineering/SRE, 3+ years leadership; excellent problem-solving, communication, leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Puppet, Prometheus, Grafana, Victoria Logs.
• Knowledge of security/performance troubleshooting, BGP protocols.
• Programming in C, Go, Python, Rust; web security, AI experience.
