Finance Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Warsaw Domaniewska, Poland; hybrid working model.

What you will do

• Build and operate Finance data quality frameworks, including validation, anomaly detection, reconciliation, monitoring, standards, and business rules.
• Design and maintain scalable semantic models, curated Finance layers, Delta tables, datasets, dimensional models, and star schemas in Databricks and Power BI.
• Reconcile Data Cloud, ERP, and official financial results; automate reconciliation checks and maintain SOX 302 and 404 data controls.
• Develop, optimize, monitor, and troubleshoot scalable Databricks ingestion pipelines and maintain high availability of Finance data assets.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Controlling, IT, Data Governance, Security, and Platform teams to deliver certified datasets and self-service analytics.
• Support audits with evidence, lineage, documentation, and control walkthroughs while leading root-cause analysis and remediation of data quality issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in data engineering, ideally within Finance or regulated environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse architecture.
• Proficiency in Power BI semantic models, including tabular models, DAX, and modeling best practices.
• Understanding of Finance processes, including GL, FP&A, actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
• Experience with data quality frameworks, reconciliations, and lineage documentation.
• Knowledge of SOX controls, audit requirements, and compliance-driven data management.
• Strong analytical, proactive, and problem-solving mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise-scale Data & AI platforms.
• Exposure to MDM, data cataloguing, and governance tooling.
• ERP knowledge, including SAP, Oracle, or consolidation systems.
• Python for automation and testing.
• Experience supporting Finance transformation or GBS environments.
